Yes. Temperature sensor failure is one of the most common Viking oven issues. The temperature sensor (probe) tells the control board the actual oven temperature. A failing sensor causes the oven to run hotter or cooler than set. It's a straightforward repair.
The gas oven igniter glows orange but the oven won't light — why?
A gas oven igniter that glows but doesn't light the burner is usually too weak — it's not drawing enough current to open the gas valve. The igniter needs replacement. This is one of our most common Viking oven repairs.
